Rock and Roll – The Poster
Here's the poster for my upcoming exhibition at The Brisbane Powerhouse, designed by the super talented Aaron Sammut. Thanks Aaron! If anyone would large a large printable version just email me and I'll send you the file. In the meantime click this to see a much bigger version.

The Exhibition opens on Tuesday the 2nd of March, from 6-9pm and runs until April the 5th 2010. It features my 50 favourite photos from 15 years of music photography. The framed prints will be for sale, I'm still working out the price, but they will be affordable. There are 50 large 30x20 inch prints on heavy photo paper, really classy black frames with white matte. They look really great, if I do say so myself..
I'm updating this pretty frequently, and you can see some info on the show at The Brisbane Powerhouse site here.

It's been a massive job going through 15 years of work, but my upcoming exhibition of live music photography "Rock and Roll" at The Brisbane Powerhouse is coming together! I have 99% of the photos chosen, and framing is under way.. I'm posting updates on progress every few days here. You can see dates and more info at The Brisbane Powerhouse site here.
The show will be up from the 2nd of March to the 5th of April 2010, and features 50 of my favorite live music photos. It will be open 7 days a week, and admission is free.

I shot these in Brisbane in December 2008, while Kate and Damon where back in Australia briefly. An Horse are doing just fine thanks very much, now based in the US, and touring pretty much constantly. They even played on Letterman. Awww. Great band and lovely people, find them here:

Heineken Steals © Photos. To use without using…
Myself and a bunch of other photographers had a lot of images stolen by www.heinekenmusic.ie , they basically used our © work without permission for their commercial gain, on a site to promote a huge music festival (which by the way does about AU$3 million in tickets)..
The photos were taken down after being up for about 3 weeks, after complaints were lodged. Heineken now claims that their use of the photos on the site, did not actually involve "any use, in legal terms" Love that mumbo jumbo. They also claim that using our work for 90% of the site's useful life leading up to the festival was "use of a temporary nature only and would not form the basis of any copyright claim" They will how ever "be willing to make a small payment for the inconvenience caused in having to write to us" WTF
The saga continues.
