Sunset Sounds – 6th/7th Jan 2010 Brisbane Australia
Sunset Sounds 2011 is rushing towards us, so thought I should finally get a few of these up. I posted a few YYY's photos earlier this year, here's some more of the rest of the bands.
Unlike some summer festivals Sunset Sounds 2010 was a pleasure to shoot, I missed the 2009 event for some reason? Dunno. Set in the botanic gardens, not tooooo many people, and what seemed to be an unusually low percentage of shirts off, tacky tribal tatt woo! merchants. Nice.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Moby, Grizzly Bear, King Khan and Seasick Steve all caught my attention, I wasn't on a mission to shoot everything, so pretty much picked the acts I actually wanted to see. There's a gallery below with a few more photos, and even more over here if you fancy it.
I'm looking forward to Joan Jett, Interpol, PE, Tame Impala and The Soft Pack next year, and hopefully a similar woo! to human ratio : )
